技術說明: 根據許多國家統計結果顯示,跌倒意外造成眾多高齡者受傷及死亡,除了跌倒時造成的碰撞,導致年長者受傷或死亡之外,另一個原因是因為年長者於日常生活中多數時間是獨自一人在家,因此,當年長者發生跌倒時,外界無法即時提供協助,以進行跌倒後的醫療救護。雖有業者研發出跌倒偵測裝置,偵測跌倒的撞擊,嘗試提供較為及時之通報或醫療救護,然而跌倒之傷害通常已經造成。

本技術提供一穿戴裝置(或運算模式技術),透過多感測器實體量測設定個人動作化特性參數,可即時偵測使用者動作狀態與跌倒發生(跌倒撞擊前即可偵測),並於跌倒發生時(撞擊前)啟動保護裝置提供即時防護,避免跌倒傷害。此技術並可用以即時偵測使用者動作狀態(例如穩定性),提供必要之照護或醫療處置。
 
Falls are the leading cause of unintentional deaths and a leading cause of injuries of the population over the age of 65 in many industrial countries. Many older individuals live alone. Therefore, if they fall, they may not be able to obtain immedicate medical attention. Although some fall detection devices have been developed to provide alarms after falls, the damages resulted from falls have been occurred. We provide a wearable device (or detecting algorithms), through multi-sensor measurements of movement characteristics to set individualized parameters, can immediately detect the user’s action state and fall initiation (before the fall impact). In addition, at the detection of fall initiation, a protection device will be trigger to prevent fall injuries. This technology can also be used to instantly detect user’s activities of daily living (such as movement stability), providing necessary care or medical treatment.
